Forsyth, Owner of SevenOaks Garden Centre SevenOaks Garden Centre was purchased by Ian Forsyth in 2001 and has grown steadily in both size and popularity since then. The only garden centre in the picturesque Welsh market town of Ruthin, the name SevenOaks comes from Ian’s home town of Sevenoaks in Kent.
Like its namesake, SevenOaks Garden Centre weathered a potentially disastrous
storm in the summer of 2006 when a burglary was followed only a day later
by a devastating
electrical fire which all but destroyed the garden centre.
The determination to keep going after the fire, saw owner Ian Forsyth,
his family and staff running the business from a portakabin - and the loyal
SevenOaks customers continued to arrive. Since then SevenOaks has risen
like phoenix from the ashes and taken the opportunity to re-build, improve
and expand its ranges.
